Singer songwriter Ryan Adams kicks off the 2013 Teenage Cancer Trust Royal Albert Hall shows with special guest Beth Orton.
Ryan Adams’s critically and commercially successful albums both as a solo artist and with the Cardinals have included Heartbreaker (2000), Gold (2001), Love Is Hell (2004), Cold Roses (2005), Easy Tiger (2007), and most recently Ashes & Fire, released last year to his highest UK chart numbers to date and supported by a sold out UK tour.
BRIT Award-winning English singer-songwriter Beth Orton was initially recognised for her collaborations with William Orbit and the Chemical Brothers in the mid 1990s. Orton developed a devoted audience with the release of the albums Central Reservation (1999) and the 2002 UK top 10 album, Daybreaker. After six years away, two children, a marriage and returning to Norfolk, the twice Mercury Music Prize-nominated singer is back. Sugaring Season, her sixth album, is the culmination of Orton finding herself as a guitarist and a songwriter.
