Beth on Radcliffe and Maconie BBC6 Music

Stuart and Mark were joined by the folktronic singer-songwriter Beth Orton recently.

Initially recognised for her collaborations with William Orbit, Red Snapper and the Chemical Brothers in the mid 90s, she developed a devoted audience with the release of the albums – her debut Trailer Park, as well as Central Reservation (1999) and the 2002 UK top 10 album, Daybreaker. She’s here to talk about her latest album – co-produced by Beth and Andrew Hung (F*** Buttons) and mixed by David Wrench (Caribou/Hot Chip) – which sees her return to a record inspired both by the wide-open nature of Los Angeles and the spirit of her earliest recordings.
