Taking place London’s Somerset House from 6 July – 25 August, ‘Daydreaming With Stanley Kubrick’ exhibits artworks inspired by the famed auteurs filmography.
Organized by Kubrick’s wife Christiane Kubrick (who also offers her own piece, entitled ‘Remembering Stanley’) the exhibit features works from the likes of James Lavelle, Jarvis Cocker, Beth Orton and Anish Kapoor. Also, Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter will donate a new or exhisting work, “responding to a film, scene, character or theme from the Kubrick archives, or even the man himself”.
‘Daydreaming With Stanley Kubrick’ is part of the wider ‘Daydreaming With…’ series where music and the visual arts merge, creating unique multi-sensory experiences.
